To capture a moment on film is an experience of itself, one which I find increasingly challenging and meaningful. My dive into the world of photography has been anything but typical. I lived a year in Japan, training in Aikido in an old dojo village at a very young age. I did not take a single photograph in Japan as I strongly believed in living in the moment and used to feel that photos distracted me from living the experience. I later studied Astronomy at St. Paul’s School and Dartmouth College and it was here that I learned the photographic process as a means to study the stars. It was a realization that I could capture these feelings through the art of photography and film when done correctly and I could still stay in the moment. I have always studied Zen philosophy and I like to carry that over to all of my Productions, whether they be print or Film.
