New York based, Richard “Rico” Ruiz, has had a long and diverse career in the fashion industry. After attending both the New York and Paris Parsons School of Design, he graduated and was soon sought out to create custom looks for several artists in the music industry. After working on the album packaging and premiere video for Celine Dion’s relaunch album “A New Day”, Richard was invited to join Dion’s world press tour, traveling with her as both tailor and creator of custom looks for all of her press and follow up video appearances, as well as designing and overseeing production for the dancers’ costumes in Dion’s Las Vegas residency. While continuing his work with a range of celebrity clients, in 2006 Richard launched his eponymous womenswear label selling to accounts world wide including Harrods, Calypso, and Henri Bendel to name a few. Today, Richard continues to work as both a tailor and stylist. Some past and current clients include: Beyoncé, Mary J.
